Something sneaky happens when you mix cardamom and orange. You may know it as a flavour bomb. Making a batch of this bircher on a Sunday night makes us intrinsically happy, mainly because if we make enough to last the week, it eliminates the need to make daily breakfast, therefore saving precious morning z’s.

Serves 2-3

1 Β½ cups oats
Β½ cup almonds, roughly chopped
Β½ cup seeds (pepita, sesame)
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cardamom
2 tbsp shredded coconut
2 tbsp orange zest
2 cups milk of your choice

Combine all ingredients in a container and leave overnight. Top with a dollop of Greek yoghurt, strawberries or seasonal fruit.
